With great pride and satisfaction, we mark close to forty years since the founding of Ofakim Seminary. What began as a delicate seed in a pioneering, little-known town in Israel’s south called Ofakim, transformed in short time into a sterling model of young women’s education both in Israel and around the world.

Our pursuit of spiritual, professional, and academic level excellence is expressed in the outstanding achievements of our students and alumnae, which rank among the highest in Israel, as well as in the superb reputation that our Seminary has acquired among the Ministry of Education and other vocational institutions. We pride ourselves on round-the-clock educational and social activities under the direction of a devoted, caring faculty that relates to each girl with genuine love and concern as if she were an only child. It should be noted that the educational goals of our Seminary comprise improving on an internal level while simultaneously availing our wealth of resources to others, volunteering, and contributing our utmost to the larger community. Our alumnae encompass proud mothers, teachers, and outstanding role models. These fine Jewish women are actively involved in social welfare and community projects in hundreds of Jewish communities in Israel and around the world and utilize the tools, skills and exceptional education that they absorbed in Ofakim Seminary to benefit others.  I perceive my role as a sacred mission to train and guide the mothers, teachers and mentors of the next generation. It is a supreme challenge, but vital to our future—the future of the Jewish nation.

With a prayer and blessing that we will cause the desert to flourish, in every sense of the word…
